1. Who can sign up for CelcomDigi Traveller SIM?

This is available for CelcomDigi and non CelcomDigi subs - Malaysian and non-Malaysian customers.

 

2. How do I sign up for CelcomDigi Traveller SIM? 

You can subscribe at CelcomDigi website via Online Store or any CelcomDigi Kiosk machines. 

 

3. What are the product details?

    a. Plan

  • All plans available with CelcomDigi Traveller SIM are configured as one-time passes (not auto-renewal).  
  • Once the plan has expired, customers are required to make another purchase to continue their Internet connection.

  • Single country: This plan can only be used in one selected country. If you travel to another country, you will need to purchase a new pass.
  • Validity: All offers start from the time of purchase based on hours eg: purchase 7 days pass on 1 April 2026, 11.00am, will end on 8 April 2026, 10.59am. 

 

    b. One Time Pass

  • Once the plan has expired, customers are required to make another purchase to continue their Internet connection.

4. What is the RM5 SIM Activation Fee Waiver promotion?

It is a limited time offer where the RM5 SIM activation fee is waived for CelcomDigi Traveller SIM subscription with a new number made via CelcomDigi Online Store only.

Note: Sign-up through CelcomDigi Kiosk does not entitle the RM5 waiver.


5. Which countries have restrictions?

6. How do I know if my purchase is successful?

You will receive an SMS notification sent to your mobile number. Alternatively, you can verify the status of your roaming pass, through CelcomDigi app > Usage.

7. Can I purchase more than one CelcomDigi Traveller SIM?

No. One purchase allowed at a time. Once your current offer expires, you may purchase a new one.

 

8. Does CelcomDigi Traveller SIM include calls and SMS?

Incoming SMS is free, while outgoing SMS and calls will be blocked.

 

9. Do I have to manually select my preferred operator abroad?

No, operator selection is automatic. Please ensure that your Network Setting is set to ‘Auto’ for seamless connectivity.

 

However, you can manually select network operator if you encounter issues where your mobile device is unable to detect the network. Please refer here for more information on how to manually select a network operator.

Important: Please note that manually selecting a network is not recommended for customers traveling across multiple countries, as it will prevent the device from automatically connecting to the preferred network upon arrival in the next country due to the manual selection setting. If this occurs, kindly revert the Network Setting to ‘Auto’.


10. How do I activate CelcomDigi Traveller SIM upon purchase?

It will be auto activated upon arrival in your destination county. Please ensure your Data roaming is turned on in your phone setting under Mobile Network. Refer here on how to turn on/off Data roaming.

 

11. Can I also pre-book my CelcomDigi Traveller SIM?

No. You cannot pre-book CelcomDigi Traveller SIM. However, you can purchase 2 months in advance while in Malaysia. 

Note: The plan is valid for travel within 2 months from the purchase date. If it is not activated within this period, it will expire and cannot be used.


12. Will I get notified once my plan has expired?

Yes. You will get a notification upon offer expiry. The pass validity is as follows:

13. How can I monitor my internet usage? 

You can manage your usage and account via the CelcomDigi app or by dialling *800#. 

 

14. What happens upon full utilization of the quota in this offer?

Your internet will be blocked to prevent Pay-As-You-Use charges. You may purchase another one. 

 

15. What should I do if I encounter issues while roaming?
