1. What is the MY-SG Border Pass?

The MY-SG Border Pass is a prepaid SIM plan offering 300GB internet quota with free voice calls for users traveling between Malaysia and Singapore (M1 mobile operator only). Available in 30-day and 90-day options, it provides high-speed data in both countries and generous call allowances.

Note: This is a non-recurring pass and is only valid for use on the M1 network in Singapore.

 

2. Who can sign up for MY-SG Border Pass?

All CelcomDigi prepaid customers are eligible to subscribe to this pass.

If you're not a CelcomDigi prepaid customer, you can still enjoy this offer by visiting any CelcomDigi Store or dealer to sign up. Please note that a SIM fee of RM5 applies.

               

3. Upon purchase, when does the pass expire?

The validity period for each pass will commence from the point of activation. You will get a notification upon roaming pass expiry. The pass validity is as follows:

Expires at 11:59 p.m. (Malaysia Time) on day 90 of activation.


4. Do I need to manually select the M1 network to use the MY-SG Border Pass in Singapore?
Yes, the pass is only valid on the M1 network in Singapore. Please manually select 'M1' as your network operator in your phone’s mobile network settings to ensure it works correctly.


5. If I reached the high-speed quota allocation, can I still enjoy high-speed internet without additional charges?
Yes. You may continue browsing without additional charges. However, your internet speed will reduce to unlimited basic internet capped to up to 512Kbps. You may repurchase to same pass for seamless internet experience.

 

6. Can I purchase another roaming pass? What will happen to my existing pass?
Yes, you can purchase another roaming pass. Your existing pass will remain active.

7. How can I check my internet balance quota and validity?

You can check and manage your account via the CelcomDigi app.

 

8. How to purchase the MY-SG Border Pass and can I buy it in advance?
You can purchase your roaming pass or pre-book in advance via the CelcomDigi app. Please refer to the steps below:

Step 2: Click ‘Shop’.

Step 3: Click ‘Roaming’ and select Singapore.

Step 4: Choose your preferred pass: '30-Day MY-SG Border Pass' or '90-Day MY-SG Border Pass' to purchase.

Step 5: Review the pass details.

Step 6: Click ‘Purchase’.

Step 1: Log in to the CelcomDigi app.
Step 2: 
Tap ‘Shop’.
Step 3: 
Select ‘Roaming’ and choose Singapore.
Step 4: 
Choose your preferred pass: '30-Day MY-SG Border Pass' or '90-Day MY-SG Border Pass'.
Step 5: 
Under Activation Date, tap the calendar icon and select your activation date (you can set it up to 14 days in advance).

Step 6: Review the pass details.
Step 7: 
Tap ‘Pre-book’ to complete your purchase. 

Alternatively, you may purchase a roaming pass by dialing *118# or *800# after arriving at the destination country (no pre-book function in *118# or *800#).


9. Can I use tethering or hotspot with this pass?

Yes, tethering and hotspot are allowed with this pass.


10. Is the MY-SG Border Pass automatically renewed, and can I purchase multiple passes?
No, the pass is not auto-renewed upon expiry, and you will need to repurchase it. However, you can purchase multiple passes, and the validity periods will run concurrently.


11. Can I use my pass in any other country outside of Singapore?
No. The MY-SG Border Pass is only applicable in Singapore. If data usages are detected while you are in another country, Daily Internet Roaming will be auto activated.

 

12. I accidentally connected to another mobile operator in Singapore (Singtel or StarHub). What should I do?

To avoid this, go to your device settings and manually select 'M1' as your mobile network. This will prevent your device from automatically switching to other operators and ensure uninterrupted data service.


13. What should I do if I encounter issues while roaming?
