1. What is the CelcomDigi Tourist SIM?
The CelcomDigi Tourist SIM is a prepaid plan designed for visitors to Malaysia, offering unlimited high-speed internet, hotspot, and calls, as well as roaming and IDD services to selected ASEAN countries.

2. Who is eligible to sign up for the CelcomDigi Tourist SIM?
All non-Malaysian passport holders visiting Malaysia are eligible to sign up for the CelcomDigi Tourist SIM.

3. I am an existing CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G customer, can I change my plan to CelcomDigi Tourist SIM or vice versa?
No. CelcomDigi Tourist SIM is a dedicated starter pack designed for tourists and cannot be changed from or to an existing CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G plan. Customers who wish to use Edisi Kuning need to purchase and register a new CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G Edisi Kuning SIM which offers a variety of internet passes to choose from.


4. Where can I sign up for the CelcomDigi Tourist SIM?

You may purchase CelcomDigi Tourist SIM at all CelcomDigi Stores and authorized partners.

Note: All plans come with unlimited domestic calls with a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) of 100 minutes and 10 domestic SMS.

 

6. What happens when I have fully utilized the FUP quota and domestic voice calls?
Once the FUP quota is fully utilized, internet speed will be reduced to 512Kbps until the pass expires, and the voice calls will be charged at standard domestic rates.

Note: Unused quota or calls will be forfeited upon expiry.


7. Why can’t I reload my Tourist SIM?

Tourist SIM does not support normal reloads. You can purchase another Tourist Pass when your current pass expires or when you need more data.


8. How can I monitor my internet and voice call usage?
You can manage and monitor your usage via the CelcomDigi app or by dialling *118#.

9. Is the plan automatically renewed upon expiry?
No, internet passes are not automatically renewed. You may re-subscribe via the CelcomDigi app after the pass expires.

10. Which countries are covered under the ASEAN roaming and IDD pass?
The ASEAN countries covered are Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam. However, coverage is subject to limitations imposed by the country’s network or government restrictions. Please read the exclusion areas here.

11. How do I activate the roaming quota when I travel to other ASEAN countries?
No activation is required when travelling to other ASEAN countries with the CelcomDigi Tourist SIM. The 3GB roaming quota will be automatically activated upon arrival at your destination. Please ensure that 'Data Roaming' is enabled in your phone settings under 'Mobile Network'. Refer here for steps on how to turn on/off data roaming.

12. How do I know if my roaming pass is activated?
You will receive an SMS notification once your roaming pass is activated. Alternatively, you can check your roaming pass status via the CelcomDigi app.


13. What happens after I have fully utilized the free 3GB of roaming internet quota?
Once the 3GB roaming quota is fully utilised, roaming internet access will be restricted.


14. Can I make international calls from Malaysia using the free IDD minutes?
Yes. Free IDD minutes are only applicable for calls made from Malaysia to any of the 10 ASEAN countries.

15. Can I subscribe to more than one pass?
 Yes, but only one pass can be active at a time. If you purchase a new pass, it will replace your current active pass.


16. I'm a foreigner. How many accounts can I register and what is the process?
Foreign nationals with a valid passport can register a maximum of two (2) accounts under this plan. During registration, customers must present their original valid passport for verification and complete the required registration process.

 

17. Can a 12- to 17-year-old register for this pass? What is the process?
Yes. Customers aged 12 to 17 years old can register for this pass with the consent of their parents or legal guardian. The parent or legal guardian must be present during registration and complete the required biometric verification together with the minor applicant.

 

18. How long is the Tourist SIM valid, and what happens to any remaining prepaid credit after the validity period ends?

The Tourist SIM is valid for the duration of the subscribed internet pass. Once the internet pass expires, the Tourist SIM service will be automatically deactivated. Customers will not be able to reload or renew the plan like a regular prepaid plan. Any remaining prepaid credit is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
