1. What is Celcom NUMBERshare?
Celcom NUMBERshare is a service which allows you to share your number, voice and data from your postpaid mobile line with your Apple Watch (cellular). You can make and receive domestic calls as well as connect to the Internet from your Apple Watch (cellular) even when your phone is not around.
2. How much is the monthly charges for Celcom NUMBERshare?
Celcom NUMBERshare is FREE for the first 6 months from your first subscription date. RM15 per month will be included in your bill should you choose to continue.
3. What will happen if I suspend or terminate Celcom NUMBERshare within the FREE 6 months period?
The free subscription will be voided if you suspend or terminate Celcom NUMBERShare within the first 6 months from your first subscription date. RM15 per month will be included in your bill should you choose to reactivate or subscribe again. Effective 3rd September 2024, you will not be able to subscribe back to Celcom NUMBERshare once you have suspended or terminated the service. You will need to subscribe to CelcomDigi WatchSIM.
4. Are there any other pre-requisites to enjoy Celcom NUMBERshare?
To enjoy Celcom NUMBERshare, you need to:
- Check if you are on an eligible Celcom Mobile Postpaid plan which is active and do not have any outstanding bills
- Ensure that you have a compatible iPhone & Apple Watch with the correct operating system installed
- Make sure your NRIC number & Mother’s Maiden Name registered with Celcom is up to date at Celcom Life Hub.
5. Which Celcom Mobile Postpaid plans are eligible for Celcom NUMBERshare?
Eligible Celcom Postpaid plans:
- All Celcom MEGA plans
- CelcomDigi Postpaid 5G Plan
- Celcom Mobile Gold Plus
- Celcom Mobile Gold Supreme
- Celcom Mobile Platinum
- Celcom Mobile Platinum Plus
For Family plans, only principal lines are eligible for Celcom NUMBERshare service.
6. What are the devices I can use to enjoy Celcom NUMBERshare?
- Celcom NUMBERshare is supported by these compatible smartphones: iPhone SE, 6s and above
- iOS 13.3 or later
The smartphones must be paired with wearables below:
- Apple Watch Series 3 & 5 (GPS + Cellular)
- WatchOS 6.1.1 or later
7. What should I do if I can’t login using my NRIC number & Mother’s Maiden name registered with Celcom prior to subscribing to Celcom NUMBERshare?
Call our Customer Care at 1111 to verify and check your personal details. Should you need to update or make changes to it, please walk-in to the nearest Celcom bluecube.
8. How do I subscribe to Celcom NUMBERshare?
Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS+Cellular)
- Pair your Apple Watch with your iPhone (read Set up your Apple Watch for detailed instructions)
- You will be prompted to set up a data plan/mobile plan
- Follow the steps shown on the screen that require you to:
- Enter your last 6 digits of NRIC/Passport number/Army ID number followed by the first 4 characters of Mother’s Maiden name
- Accept the Terms & Conditions by marking the checkbox
- It might take a few minutes for your Celcom NUMBERshare service to activate
- Once activated, you will receive a successful SMS notification on your iPhone
Set up Celcom NUMBERshare with an already paired Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS+Cellular)
- Open Watch app, then tap 'My Watch' tab
- Tap 'Mobile Data'
- Follow the steps shown on the screen that require you to:
- Enter your last 6 digits of NRIC/Passport number/Army ID number followed by the first 4 characters of Mother’s Maiden name
- Accept the Terms & Conditions by marking the checkbox
- It will take a few minutes for your Celcom NUMBERshare service to activate
- Once activated, you will receive a successful SMS notification on your iPhone
9. Do I have to turn on VoLTE to enjoy Celcom NUMBERshare?
Once you subscribe to Celcom NUMBERShare, VoLTE is automatically available on your device. However, you may still enjoy using Celcom NUMBERShare even when you choose to switch off your VoLTE.
If you wish to turn on 4G VoLTE;
- In your Settings, go to 'Mobile Data'
- Select 'Mobile Data Options'
- Select 'Voice & Data' and switch on VoLTE.
Note: Turning VoLTE on or off will not affect the subscription to Celcom NUMBERshare.
10. Can I use Celcom NUMBERshare while roaming internationally?
Celcom NUMBERshare can only be used locally within Celcom network coverage areas. When your Apple Watch is connected to your iPhone via bluetooth or a previously joined Wi-Fi network, you can still use all the features of your Apple Watch, even if cellular isn't available.
11. Can I change, transfer or voluntarily terminate my Celcom Mobile Postpaid plan after subscribing to Celcom NUMBERshare on my Apple Watch?
You will need to unsubscribe first via Watch app on your iPhone before proceeding to make any changes to your Celcom Mobile Postpaid plan. Effective 3rd September 2024, you will not be able to subscribe back to Celcom NUMBERshare once it has been terminated for a change of mobile plan. You will need to subscribe to CelcomDigi WatchSIM.
12. One primary line can be shared with how many Apple Watch using Celcom NUMBERshare?
Only one Apple watch can be shared with one primary line at a time.
13. I’m already on Celcom MultiSIM service, can I subscribe to Celcom NUMBERshare?
No. You have to unsubscribe to Celcom MultiSIM service to enjoy Celcom NUMBERshare.
14. What if I lost my device?
Call our Customer Care at 1111 or walk-in to the nearest Celcom bluecube to unsubscribe to NUMBERshare. If any, your charges will be pro-rated.
15. If my line is barred, can I still use Celcom NUMBERshare on my Apple Watch?
No. To reactivate Celcom NUMBERshare you need to ensure that your primary line on your smartphone is active.
16. If I purchased my Apple Watch overseas, can I subscribe to Celcom NUMBERshare?
Yes, except for eligible Apple Watches from USA as it has different band configuration.
17. What should I do if I want to change my Apple Watch or iPhone attached to the service?
To change Apple Watch or iPhone, you will need to terminate your current subscription of Celcom NUMBERshare. Effective 3rd September 2024, you can no longer continue your Celcom NUMBERshare subscription if you wish to change Apple Watch or iPhone attached to the service.
You will need to subscribe to the new CelcomDigi WatchSIM once you have changed to the new device.
