FAQ: Celcom EasyPhone

1. What is EasyPhone™?
EasyPhone™ is a program that lets you own the latest smartphones in the market via a 24-month & 36-month interest free instalment program on our MEGA Plan. It also comes with Phone Care, a comprehensive coverage that protects your device against loss, theft and accident.


2. Who can subscribe to this program?

Malaysian citizens only, aged 18 and above that are either:

  • New customers 
  • Customers porting-in from other service providers 
  • Existing Celcom subscribers
  • Prepaid to Postpaid customers
Note: You must first change your prepaid plan to any of the eligible MEGA Plans before you can subscribe to EasyPhone.


3. How do I sign-up for EasyPhone?

  • You can walk-in to any Celcom bluecube or Celcom Certified Partner nationwide to sign-up for EasyPhone.
  • Alternatively, you may also sign-up via Celcom Online Store.

 

4. How much do I need to pay upon subscribing for the EasyPhone?

  • You are required to pay an advance payment upon registration of EasyPhone, this is dependent on the device model purchased. This advance payment may be waived, subject to your eligibility which can be check in-store upon sign-up. 
  • Auto-billing subscription is mandatory throughout the contract period with credit card only. 3rd party credit card is not allowed.
Note: You can update or change your credit card details at any Celcom bluecube or through the Celcom Life app.


5. Where can I check my contract details?

You can check your contract details such as contract period and cancellation fees in the Celcom Life app or Celcom Life Hub by following the steps below:

  • Celcom Life app –  Login to your account and then go to Usage > Local > Contract Details.
  • Celcom Life Hub – Login to your account and then go to My Account > Plan & Contract.

 

6. What are the eligible plans to sign-up for EasyPhone™?

Note: If you are on existing Celcom postpaid plans (Celcom Mobile/FIRST/1+5/older plans), you must first change to an eligible postpaid plan prior to subscription.


7. What are the devices offered under EasyPhone™? 

EasyPhone™ offers various devices with a reasonable monthly fee that suits your needs. Refer here for full device list.

 

8. How many devices can I subscribe to with EasyPhone?

You are only allowed to take up to 2 EasyPhone devices.

If you are an existing EasyPhone customers with a tenure of more than 12 months, you are eligible for a 2nd EasyPhone device.


9. Can I cancel my EasyPhone™subscription?

Yes, after 3 months from your subscription date.

If you terminate your EasyPhone™ subscription within your contract period, you will be charged a cancellation fee based on your remaining contract period at the point of cancellation.

 

Example:

Cancellation fee: RM3,000

Balance of contracted months: 9 months

Cancellation fee to be paid: (Cancellation Fee/Contracted Period) x Balance of contracted months)

= (RM3,000/24 months) x 9 months

= RM125 x 9 months

= RM1,125


10. What if I decided to port-out from Celcom?

If you wish to port out from Celcom, you will have to cancel EasyPhone™ subscription first and pay the cancellation fee at the nearest Celcom bluecube to proceed.

 
11. What happens if you abscond or fail to pay for your EasyPhone subscription?

If you abscond or fail to pay for your subscription for more than 3 months:

  • You will be penalized and a cancellation fee will be charged to your account.
  • Your name will be updated in the CTOS list.
  • Your EasyPhone™ Device IMEI and your mobile number will be blocked.
