1. What are the available roaming passes?

Below are the available roaming passes for all Celcom and Digi Prepaid Postpaid subscribers:

2. What are the eligible countries for the Roaming Passes?

3. How to Purchase a Roaming Pass and Can I Buy It in Advance?

You can purchase your roaming pass via Celcom Life & MyDigi app. You can pre-book in advance via MyDigi app. Please refer to the steps below:

Step 1: Login to the Celcom Life/MyDigi app 

Step 2: Click ‘Buy Add-Ons’

Step 3: Click ‘Roaming’ and select the country/region

Step 4: Click on the roaming pass you intend to purchase  

Step 5: Select and confirm the date to activate the roaming pass (for MyDigi, the roaming pass can be activated up to 7 days in advance)

Step 6: Click ‘Confirm’.


Note: Ensure you’re connected to the internet e.g., via Wi-Fi.

 

If you don't have internet connection, you may purchase it by dialing *800# (Digi) or *118# (Celcom) after arriving at the destination country (no pre-booking function in *800#).


4. Where Can I Check My Pre-Booked Roaming Passes and Can I Cancel Them?

*Applicable for customers using MyDigi app only


You can check your pre-booked pass via the MyDigi App by clicking on the Prebook tab on your MyDigi app homepage. Refer to the steps below to cancel your pre-booked roaming pass:

Step 2: Click on 'Cancel My Pass'

Step 3: Select 'Yes' 


Note: You can cancel the pre-booked Roaming Pass as long as it has not been activated yet.


5. How do I know if my Roaming Pass is activated?

Upon successful activation, you will receive an SMS notification to your mobile number. Alternatively, you can verify the status of your roaming pass, through Celcom Life App/MyDigi App.


Roaming passes that are purchased for immediate use will be activated instantly.


For Digi customers, if you've purchased a roaming pass in advance, the activation window is from 12 a.m. to 2 a.m. (Malaysia time) on the chosen date. A confirmation SMS will be sent once your Roaming Pass is activated.


6. When should I purchase the Roaming Pass?

You can purchase either before you leave, or upon arrival at your destination country. We recommend purchasing it via Celcom Life App and MyDigi for great flexibility.


7. What is my roaming pass validity, and will I get notified once my pass has expired?

The validity period for each Roaming Pass will commence from the point of activation. Roaming Pass will be suspended once data has been completely exhausted. Subscribers can purchase another Roaming Pass to continue browsing. Once the Roaming Pass validity has expired, customers will be charged under daily unlimited roaming if they continue browsing (RM39/day).


For Prepaid subscribers, you will not be able to browse the Internet without a Roaming Pass.

You will get a notification upon pass expiry and your pass will expire as follows:

3-day Internet Pass: 72 hours upon subscription  

3-day Internet Pass: 72 hours from the moment of activation  

 

7-day Unlimited Internet Pass: Valid for 168 hours. For example, you have subscribed 7-Day Unlimited Pass at 10:40 PM. (14/5/2020), your pass will expire at 10:40 PM. (21/5/2020) Malaysia Time.  

7-day Unlimited Internet Pass: Your pass will expire at 11:59 PM on day 7 of your subscription  

 

30-day Unlimited Internet Pass: Valid for 720 hours. For example, you have subscribed 30- Day Unlimited Pass at 10.40 PM. (8/8/2020), your pass will expire at 10:40 PM (7/9/2020) Malaysia Time. 

30-day Unlimited Internet Pass: Your pass will expire at 11:59 PM on day 30 of your subscription  

 


To avoid being charged with additional roaming fees, please turn off Data Roaming in your mobile phone before the end of the validity period. Read how here.


8. What happens if I fully utilise my quota?

  • For the 3-Day Pass – Once you've fully utilized your allocated quota, data usage will be blocked. You can easily repurchase the same pass to continue enjoying the services.
  • For the Unlimited Internet Passes – After exhausting your high-speed quota, your speed will be reduced to up to 1Mbps. This still provides a satisfactory experience for standard-definition streaming.


9. Can I purchase multiple roaming passes?

  • For the 3-Day Internet Pass – You can re-purchase the same pass within active validity.
  • For the Unlimited Internet Pass You only need to have one active Unlimited Internet Pass at a time. You can purchase the same pass again once your current pass expires.


However, you can have both 3-Day Internet Pass and Unlimited Internet Pass at the same time.


10. Can I use the same Roaming Pass in Multiple Countries within active validity?

  • For the 3-Day Pass – This pass is valid for a single country only. If you visit more than one country, you'll need to purchase a new pass.
  • Unlimited Internet Pass - You can use it in multiple countries. The same quota allocation is available for all eligible countries. Refer to Question #2.


11. Do I have to manually select my preferred operator abroad?

No, operator selection is automatic. You will be assigned to the preferred local operator.

However, you can opt to manually select the network operator if you are facing issues connecting to the preferred network. To manually select the preferred network: Go to your phone Settings > Mobile Data > Network Selection > Switch off Automatic.


12. Will I Be Charged Multiple Times for Switching Networks?

No, you will not be charged multiple times for switching between different mobile operator networks within the Roaming Pass validity period.
