1. How do I activate international roaming on my mobile phone?
First, you’ll want to buy one of our roaming plans. Currently, we have the "Roam Like Home" service, available in 72 countries. Your roaming will be activated automatically once you start using any data, voice or SMS. Remember, without a roaming plan, you won’t be able to make or receive calls, use data or send SMS, but you can still receive SMS and access public WiFi hotspots. Make sure your APN settings are correct.
2. What are the available roaming plans?
We have Roam Like Home, which allows you to call, text and go online abroad with the same plan that you have in Malaysia. It's currently available in 72 countries for a flat rate of RM5, RM10 or RM20 per day, depending on the country. Check via the app to see the rates for each country.

*In Myanmar, there are no roaming services available due to restrictions set by the Myanmar Government. ONLY voice calls (Direct Dial) and SMS will be available.
4. What is the expiry of the Roam Like Home Pass?
The Roam Like Home Pass is available for 24 hours, 72 hours ,168 hours OR 360 hours from the time of activation.
For example, if you bought and activated a 1-day pass at 3.00PM on 12th December, it will expire at 3.00PM on 13th December.
5. What is Roam Like Home?
Roam Like Home is an international roaming package that lets you enjoy the same local experience while you’re travelling out of Malaysia. For just RM5, RM10 or RM20/day, take your personal plan with you when you go abroad. You can even buy a booster as usual, if you run out of Data, Voice or SMS. Roam Like Home is currently available in 72 countries! Check in the app for details of each country and the rates.
6. How many roaming passes can I buy at once?
There is no need to buy another pass because your Roam Like Home pass gives you access to your domestic plan’s usual Data/Voice/SMS quota for 24, 72 or 168 hours.
7. Do you need to buy a Roam Like Home pass every day while you are on your trip?
Not anymore! You now have the choice to buy 1-day, 3-day, 7-day and 15-day passes. Check your app for more details.
8. How do I change my APN settings?
In order to use our roaming service, you need to make sure that your APN settings are correct. If your APN name is already Yoodo, you don't need to change anything. To change your settings, please follow the instructions below:
Android
Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > Celcom Internet/ celcom3g > APN > Change from 'celcom3g' to 'Yoodo'.
iOS
Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network > APN > Change from 'celcom3g' to 'Yoodo'.
9. What is roaming?
Roaming is a service that will allow you to use your phone outside Malaysia to stay connected with your friends and family.
10. How do I activate international roaming on my mobile phone?

11. How do I manually select a network from my mobile device?
To manually select a network, follow the steps below:
iPhone
Step 1: Tap 'Settings'
Step 2: In 'Settings', tap 'Carrier'
Step 3: In 'Carrier', select the network you wish to connect to (do not tap 'Automatic')
Android
Step 1: Tap 'Menu'
Step 2: Tap 'Settings'
Step 3: Tap on ' Wireless & Networks'
Step 4: Tap on 'Mobile Networks'
Step 5: Tap on 'Network Operator'
BlackBerry
Step 1: Go to home screen

14. How do I get the Roam Like Home Pass?
The Roam Like Home Pass can be purchased via the dashboard on the Yoodo (by CelcomDigi) app.
15. How will I be notified when I get the Roam Like Home Pass?
You’ll get a notification from us via the app and through your email. You can also check your timeline on the app dashboard for updates on your plan.
16. How much does Roam Like Home cost?
It costs only RM5, RM10 or RM20/day to Roam Like Home (depending on the country you're visiting). Enjoy the freedom to use your domestic Yoodo (by CelcomDigi) plan while you’re abroad without worrying about roaming charges!
17. How do I restore my normal Internet speed once I’ve hit the daily quota?
It's simple. For Roam Like Home, you just need to purchase a booster (with data on it) to continue using your data. Just like when you are in Malaysia!
18. Can I cancel or unsubscribe from my roaming pass?
No, you can’t. You’ll need to wait for it to expire in 24 hours. So, for example, if you bought your pass at 3.15 p.m. on 12th December, it could expire on 3.15 p.m. 13th December.
19. Which operating systems is the Roam Like Home pass compatible with?
The Roam Like Home pass can be used on Apple iOS, Android, BlackBerry OS, Bada, and most other phone operating systems.
20. How do I keep track on my pass usage & expiry date?
You can keep track of your usage via the dashboard in your Yoodo (by CelcomDigi) app.
21. Can I use the Roam Like Home pass in Malaysia?
The very definition of a roaming pass is that you can use it outside of Malaysia. You won’t need to use this pass if you are already in Malaysia, because you can just use your normal plan.
22. Can I use data roaming without buying a pass?
No, you can’t. We don’t have Pay Per Use (PPU), because we are committed to making sure that your credit/ debit card will not be charged without your consent.
23. Can I purchase the roaming pass before I travel?
Yes, you can. You can pre-purchase your roaming pass maximum up to 30 days before you go for travel, which is a feature unique to Yoodo (by CelcomDigi). So, for example, you can buy it a week or two before your travel date, once you roam and make first usage, your roaming plan will start automatically.
24. How early can I pre-purchase the pass? Is there an expiry date?
You can purchase your pass up to 60 days before you go travelling. Your pre-purchase pass is valid for 60 days, but it will only activate once you start roaming in a different country. Once it is activated, it will stay active for 24, 72, 168, or 360 hours, depending on which Roam Like Home pass you purchased.
25. How do I activate my roaming pass?
Just start using your data, make a call, or send an SMS, and your pass will be activated immediately.
26. If I wasn’t able to make my trip after all, can I cancel a pre-purchased pass and get a refund?
Unfortunately, you can’t get a refund for your pass purchase, because your account is charged once you purchase your pass.
27. Can I pre-purchase more than 1 pass?
No, you can’t. For Roam Like Home, you can buy the add-on again to refresh your pass. However, you may do so only when it expires.
28. If I have Roam Like Home active, will I be able to call any number in the country I am currently roaming in?
No, you can't. With Roam Like Home, you can only call Malaysian numbers and not other countries unless you purchase IDD. You can purchase IDD via the Yoodo app under the IDD tab.
Here's an example: If you are currently roaming in Singapore, and if you need to call a Singapore number, you will need to have IDD to make a call, just like if you were in Malaysia.
29. What will happen if I visit a country that is not covered by our Roam Like Home roaming package?
Unfortunately, you can't make any outgoing or incoming calls or SMS, and you can't use any data. However, you can still access any public or free Wifi service in that country. We are currently working on extending our roaming coverage to more countries, so keep checking out our home page for updates!
30. What is IDD?
International Direct Dial, or better known as IDD, is a service that allows you to call other countries from within Malaysia.
31. How do I use IDD with Yoodo (by CelcomDigi)?
It's really easy, just buy the IDD Add-On on the Yoodo app. You can even customise your own IDD plan! Follow the steps below for a quick run-down:
- Go to the Roaming & IDD tab in the Yoodo (by CelcomDigi) app
- Click 'IDD'
- Select the country that you want to call
- Choose how many minutes and SMS that you want, confirm it, and you are done!
32. What is Zone A and Zone B?
IDD for countries in Zone A will be priced differently than IDD for countries in Zone B. There are 80 countries in Zone A and 125 countries in Zone B.
33. Can I use the Zone A IDD pack to call countries within Zone B, and vice versa?
No, you can't call Zone B countries if you purchase the Zone A pack, and vice versa. If you purchase Zone A, you can only use your plan to call any countries in Zone A.
34. What is the validity for my IDD pack?
Your IDD pack is valid for 365 days - so there's no need to worry about your IDD running out too soon.
35. Can I use the IDD pack if my account is not active?
No, you can't. To reactivate your line, simply purchase a basic plan, and you can go back to using your IDD pack.
36. Can I use the Yoodo (by CelcomDigi) app overseas if I dont have the Roam Like Home Pass?
No, you can't, sorry. To connect to the Yoodo (by CelcomDigi) app, you will need to connect to public or home Wi-Fi if you have no data plan.
