CelcomDigi Official Sender Codes

This is an important notice for CelcomDigi customers.
Starting 22 January 2026, in pursuant of new ruling and requirement from Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) under the Mandatory Standard for Mobile Content Services (MCS) and Numbering and Electronic Addressing Plan (NEAP), all Short Message Service (SMS) sent by CelcomDigi will reflect the originating number as the sender codes.
Below are the official sender codes/names currently being used by CelcomDigi. You can identify them and respond safely to messages sent by these sender codes/names. Please ensure to follow the instructions given in the messages, which may include offers, rebates and surveys from CelcomDigi.

1. I received an SMS from a sender ID “2XXXXMYCD” (e.g., 29000MYCD). Is this a scam?
No, this is genuine communication from CelcomDigi. You can be confident the message is official if the sender is from the lists above.
Important: CelcomDigi will never send SMS containing personal details, phone numbers and/or URL links or request for your personal information like OTP, banking details or IC number. If you encounter a scam issue, please get in touch with us.2. Why is CelcomDigi changing its sender ID and sender names?
This change is to comply with the new regulatory requirements to make it easier for you to distinguish official brand messages from potential “smishing” (SMS phishing) attempts by unauthorized parties.
3. Will there be any changes in the messages?
The content inside the SMS message will still be the same/identical.
